When things don’t go our way, we usually don’t see the positives, but rather we lookout for reasons to complain. The irony of life is that not everything that happens to us, is meant to harm us. Some things end up making better versions of ourselves.

In life, there may be times when negativity seems to surround you, suffocating your dreams and destroying your hope. When that happens, many go through their day being saturated with negativity and accepting it as a way of life. While you can’t always control what happens to you, you can control how you respond to it. Seek to create a positive environment for yourself and you’ll begin to become more motivated to achieve your dreams and goals.

So often in life, we encounter things that tend to blow away the wind out of us and set us back on reaching our goals and destiny in life, but we must never dwell on the negatives from such experiences. Dwelling on the positives will always do us a world of God.

The idea is not to ever get discouraged when we falter or get stuck on the sand of adversity and trial. These things will always be there as our constant companion, but when we make up our mind to always strive forward and not backward, discouragement will take flight and our heart will surge with waves of encouragement.

There are positives we can derive from the challenges we encounter in life. One of such positives is that an individual’s true character is not revealed in comfort, but moments of extreme challenges.

Life is a journey and we as individuals are like journeymen moving to specific destinations, depending on our inclination. The pathway to our destinies in life is sometimes paved with unusual obstacles and barriers. Some see these barriers and turn their back on their goals and destinations, while others will always find an alternative route to break through the barrier.


The wonderful thing I have come to discover is the fact that often than not, we tend to shrink from the negatives and cling to the positives. Good as it may seem, we must always find a way to accept certain things that may not be good and find a way to move on in life.

One of the first steps to accomplishing great things in your life is to cease dwelling on the negative things in your past. Carefully assess your present strengths, successes, and achievements. Dwell on those positive events in your life, and quit limiting your potential by constantly thinking about what you have done poorly.
