Dreams will push you beyond limits

Dreams will push you beyond limits

Dreams simplified

Dreams are the fuels that carry us through the journey of life. Sometimes, the journey may seem rough and the road looks a bit bumpy. What keeps us going is the dream that gave birth to our initial momentum in life.

The beautiful dreams of Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne had always had the dream of becoming a top footballer while still playing at Belgian club Genk. The relatively unknown Belgian who had this fiery personality and a tenacious spirit experienced something that later on changed his entire career in 2009 while still with Genk.

In his first year with the Belgian club. He was made to live with a family, but due to his withdrawn attitude, the family informed the club that they do not want Kevin to stay with them anymore. The young Belgian was understandably upset and heartbroken.

“People were saying that I wasn’t going to make it because of my poor character. I told myself at that point: ‘Let’s see who has the last word.”

Dream come true for Kevin De Bruyne or so it seemed

True to his word, Chelsea came calling for his services in 2012, and he later signed with the London club in a five years deal worth £6.7 Million. He was however faced with so many challenges while with Chelsea under coach Jose Mourinho, which left him with bitter memories.

His dreams of becoming a world-class footballer were almost becoming a nightmare, and he was eventually sold to  German Club VFL Wolfsburg in 2014. It was a move that ignited the full potential of the midfielder.

Dreams rekindled

At Wolfsburg, he made a whopping 21 assist in the 2014/15 football season and break the Bundesliga assist record in the process. He ended the season with 28 assists in all competition and was voted the 2015 German footballer of the year. In August 2015, Manchester City acquired the services of the talented midfielder in a deal that surpassed the then club record (£55 million).

KDB shines brightly at Manchester City

Dreams do come true, and for Kevin De Bruyne, his dreams were already unfolding before his eyes. His amazing form in Manchester City’s colors has seen him amassing a total of 67 assists in 158 appearances.

He was recently voted UEFA Midfielder of the year, Premier League player of the season, and UEFA Men’s Player of the year award. The best is yet to come for the fiery Belgian who has also been in astounding form for the Belgian national team.

In reality, Dreams do come true, but in the process of achieving one’s dream, there would be challenges that need to be surmounted. There would be moments of doubts, days of uncertainty, dry spells, and even failure. But as long as we hold on to our dreams, we would achieve all we set our hearts to achieve.

This unique characteristic is present in the life of every entrepreneur.

Determination

This is the ability to remain committed to a course or goal. If you are determined, procrastination will never be a problem. Determination is a virtue that keeps a business person on alert. it is like a prime mover in the wheel of the entrepreneur as the ability to venture into areas where others are afraid to go is made available.

There must be a desire and a burning passion inside of you before you can obtain whatever you need in life. If you are passionate about success, it is a sign that you are on the right track. What distinguishes an exceptional entrepreneur from the average business owner is the ability to come up with new ways of doing things. They are creative and unusual in their thinking pattern. One thing that they have going for them, is the ability to implement these creative ideas. Fear of failure does not hinder them from achieving their set goals and desires.

failure

Failure is part of the success story

Failure is the opposite of success. It is the inability to achieve a certain goal or objective in life. The painful thing about failure is that it tends to weigh down the individual, especially those who had a realistic expectation about the possibility of achieving greatness.

On 1st February 2016, Manchester City signed Pep Guardiola to a 3 years contract. It was the biggest signing of the club’s entire history, as Pep Guardiola is regarded as the best tactician in the round leather game.

The expectation from fans was high. The possibility of winning laurels became increasingly possible, as the new man in charge was known to have won loads of trophies while with Bayern Munchen of Germany and Barcelona of Spain.

Unfortunately, things never went the way of Manchester City, as they failed to win a single trophy in Pep’s first reign in charge as manager. The team came 3rd in the Premier League. They were knocked out in the Semi-Final of the FA Cup, by Arsenal 2-1 after extra time.

They could not defend the EFL trophy they won in the 2015/16 football season, as they were knocked out in the 4th round by Manchester United 1-0. It was a very sad moment in the club history as all their expectations were being met with failure.

The UEFA Champions League provided a ray of hope for supporters of Manchester City, as Pep Guardiola had previously won it with Barcelona. They however exited the tournament in the round of 16, as they got knocked out of the competition by the French team Monaco.

Pep’s first season was seen as a failure and the pain was obvious. It was disappointing, as the club went through the entire 2016/17 season with a taste of any trophy. That never slowed down the hunger for success among the players and the new manager.

The 2017/18 season saw the real hunger for success in Manchester City. Failure in the previous season had seen a huge appetite for success in the team. The burning desire is always there, each time we fail in life.

Manchester City emerged Champions of the English Premier League with an unprecedented 100 points from 38 matches. An amazing tally of 106 goals made it even sweeter. They won the EFL Cup, beating Arsenal 3-0 at Wembley.

The 2018/19 season was even better, as Manchester City won all three domestic trophies they entered for, including the community shield. They became the first team to ever hold all four of England’s primary football trophies.

Failure had indeed made the team stronger. It was a beautiful example of how we can learn more from failure than we can ever do from success. We can become inspired to do more when we fail in certain aspects of life.

It all starts from the inside. Never get so discouraged when things don’t go your way. Its all part of the success story. Good things sometimes take time. They don’t always come on the platter of Gold.

mentor

Get a Mentor and achieve amazing success

A mentor is a person who has acquired sufficient experience in a particular area and is capable of guiding an individual in achieving the same level of success that he/she has acquired. Every ambitious entrepreneur cannot do without the help of a mentor in achieving the desired goal and objective in life.

Without the assistance of an experience individual, we may go through endless stress in quest to achieve success. It is like asking someone who has been to a particular place for direction.

A mentor will greatly reduce the possibility of Failure

The reason why so many people fail in life, is because they do not posses the right information to succeed in life. Failure is greatly reduced when you have a mentor by your side to aid and guide you. So individual believe they can succeed on their own without the help of a mentor, but they find out through the hard way that they are absolutely wrong. Success becomes a possibility when someone who has succeeded is there to show you the way to success.

Encouragement in times of Failure

Failure can never be ruled out as we aspire to succeed in life. One thing we must however realize is that when we have a mentor by our side, they are a great source of encouragement in times of failure. They have tasted success and failure, and their experience we go a long way to keep us focused and encouraged.

It helps to speed up your learning process

Learning the ropes in any business is not an easy task, as we may be faced with one challenge or the other. One of the benefits of having a mentor is that the leaning process is quickened. It is like taking you by the hands and showing you the fundamental ingredients on your way to succeeding in your chosen business.

It will save us from unnecessary Financial expenditure

When we decide to go the full stretch without the aid of a mentor, we may incur some unnecessary financial expenses which can be avoided. Mentors are more like financial advisors, because they help us in the initial stage of our business plan and indirectly save us from making unprofitable expenses.

They help us make the right choices

The decision we make in life can ultimately determine our success or failure rate. The ability to make the right choice can be made a lot easier with the assistance of a mentor. A wrong decision can have negative implication on the attainment of your set goals and objectives.

Ignore the haters

Ignore the haters

Someone once described haters as “people who whisper your success, but broadcast your failure”. They are always there no matter how you try to shake them off. Don’t even attempt to please them, because the more you do, the more they would keep hating on you.

Those who aren’t successful in life, don’t have issues with haters, because they are already down. The focus is always on those who aspire to achieve their dreams and goals in life. The more successful you are in life, the more the hate.

Eight years ago, when I bought my first call, not all my friends were happy with me. Some secretly envied me and with envy came hatred. It got worse when I started making real progress in my career.

How I dealt with haters

I focused on those who are happy to have me around and ignored the haters. This has worked quite well for me, because the more I ignore them, the quicker they disappeared. They realized that I wasn’t ready to take their hate seriously, and so they gave up hating on me.

Don’t get distracted

It is easier to get distracted when people say hurtful words about us. A young lady who was in an abusive relationship and had grown to hate herself shared her experience. “Each day was like hell on earth. I tried all I could to please him, but the more I did, the more he hated me. I felt I was not good enough. At a point, I had to break up with him, when the abuse was affecting me emotionally.

Those were the most difficult periods of my life. I became overweight, as I wasn’t watching my diet anymore. When I left Dave, I did all I could to gain back my confidence. It was a real struggle because I had almost lost everything. My self-worth was all gone. I had zero self-confidence and I was standing at the very edge of a mental breakdown.

Relocating to a new city and finding a new job gave me a fresh lease of life. It was like a heavy burden had been lifted off my fragile shoulder. For once I was getting my groove back and I loved it. The bad energy was all gone and I was able to make new friends.

Two years after, I fell in love with someone whom I refer to as my sunshine. He erased all the hate toxins that David had deposited in me. I realized that life always gives us a second chance to become who we truly want to become in life. Love triumphed over hate and I was the happiest soul that ever lived”

Never pay evil with evil

There is always the temptation to hate those who hate you. Unfortunately, that may not be the right approach. Like Martin Luther, King Jnr said: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that

We must always find a way to forgive those who hate without reason. Love them and always find a place in your heart to forgive them. Hopefully, they would see a reason to stop hating and start loving.

Get Inspired by hate

Some call them haters, but I would prefer to call them motivators. Let the actions of the few that hate you push you to greater heights. Keep using the stone of hate thrown at you, to build a platform that will inspire you towards your goals in life.

On the 14th of October 2019, Bulgaria hosted England in a Euro 2020 Qualifier. The match was almost marred with monkey chants each time England winger Raheem Sterling was on the ball. Raheem refused to allow racial abuse to weigh him down. It rather motivated him to put in his best performance in the color of England. He went ahead to score a brace, as England thumped Bulgaria 6-0.
