There is absolutely nothing compared to the amazing feeling of been loved. Love and relationship will share articles on these very important subjects

Love comes to those who still hope

Love comes to those who still hope

Juliet Smith spent fifteen years in a relationship that ultimately wasn’t right for her. She was stuck in it and couldn’t move out of it due to fear of the unknown. It hit her hard one day that she had to let it go. Alone in her home, she fell on the floor in tears, grieving and feeling the sting of fear that she will never find someone else that will love her; she will be alone for the rest of her life.

But she found the courage to get up, change her life and started doing things that gave her confidence, joy, and love and that was when she met her husband and they got married some months later.

No matter how long you’ve been hurt in the past, you probably still wonder when your soul mate will walk into your life. Why? Humans were wired to love. We were born to connect with others and share a deep emotional and physical bond. Love can hurt but it is also important for our well being.

Even if your life experiences have always ended up with more sad than happy moments. So discouraging, that you keep wondering about the possibility of finding love. There are always countless reasons to hang in there. Just because you had a failed relationship doesn’t mean that this will repeat infinitely into the future.

It is difficult to maintain a positive mindset after you go through a traumatic experience like a breakup. You can still find the courage to change all the negativity and bring some positivity in your life. With a positive mindset you can get over your hurt and be successful with someone who truly deserves you.

The first step to attract someone who will love you is to cultivate that within yourself. You cannot expect others to love you if you don’t even feel that way towards yourself. Just because a partner has ended a relationship does not mean you are unlovable or unworthy of their love. Rather than focusing on what you did wrong, focus instead on what you can do to make yourself feel better.

Efforts are never wasted even when it leads to disappointing results. It can make you wiser, better, stronger, and even happier in the long run. When things get tough and you are losing your head, be patient, and keep going.

When death puts two lovebirds apart

When death puts two lovebirds apart

A Painful experience

Death of a loved one is one of the most painful experiences ever imagined. I could recall when I lost my Dad years back. It took me quite a while to recover from the pain and heartache. He loved me so dearly and always made sure I was happy.

What is even more touching is the sudden death of a spouse. Some find it so hard to deal with the trauma. More than 14 years ago, someone, I knew personally, died after a brief illness. He was so close to the wife. They were like Siamese twins.

The wife struggled to cope with the demise of her husband. Three weeks after the death of her best friend, she fell ill and died also. That’s how tough it is, dealing with the demise of a loved one.

I love poetry so much, and yesterday I saw a very emotional poem about the demise of a loved one. It is a touching tribute. Death indeed can create a vacuum that oftentimes, can never be filled.

If tomorrow starts without me

If tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not there to see. If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did today. While thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say.

I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand.

And said my place was ready, in heaven far above, And that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my eye, For all my life, I’d always thought, I didn’t want to die.

I had so much to live for, So much left yet to do, it seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad, I thought of all that we had shared, and all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday, Just even for a while, I’d say good-bye and kiss you and maybe see you smile. But then I fully realized, that this could never be, for emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow. But when I walked through heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home. When God looked down and smiled at me, From His great golden throne,

He said, “This is eternity and all I’ve promised you.” Today your life on earth is past, but here life starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last, and since each day is the same way, there’s no longing for the past.

You have been so faithful, So trusting and so true. Though there were times you did some things, you knew you shouldn’t do. But you have been forgiven, and now, at last, you’re free. So won’t you come and take my hand, and share my life with me

So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for every time you think of me, I’m right here, in your heart.”

Strength for the Journey

Death indeed separated two lovebirds and made what would have been a beautiful union end in tears. It’s a bitter pill to swallow, and though sometimes we are helpless, we do wish that we grow old with the one we love.

I once lost a very dear friend to the cold hand of death. I couldn’t believe he was gone until we all went to the morgue to see his corpse. It was an unforgettable experience. Death had dug a huge hollow in my heart.

Omoefe was always cheerful, kind, and gentle. Unfortunately, he fell ill and couldn’t recover. He was just 17. He was extremely talented and blessed with artistry gifts. Death ensured those gifts never so the light of the day.

To those who have lost a loved one, always take solace in the forever love that was shared. The beautiful memories will keep your heart glow and give you strength for the journey.

Is Love truly blind?

Love is a beautiful thing! It is this special feeling that you have for someone that makes you see them differently from others. But, falling in love in modern times has become more complicated because too many people are in love without understanding the idea of being love which can lead to just a fling.

So often, we lose our sight, common sense, and everything that makes us normal and become dysfunctional while we profess to be in love. We have read stories or seen cases of people who are deeply in love ending up killing their partners, some suffer from depression, while others are betrayed.

Love according to the urban dictionary is the act of caring, and giving to someone else, having someone’s best interest and well-being as a priority in your life. If we are to go with this definition, the question we need to ask ourselves is this: “IS LOVE TRULY BLIND”?

Before answering this question, let’s look at the phases involved in a love relationship. According to American Author and public speaker, Anthony Robbins, there are three phases involved in love process.

The Lusting stage

The first phase is the lusting phase.  It is easy to block out any character flaw at this phase because the relationship just started. At this stage, you are just too excited to be in the hands of your partner and to make them happy. All that matters to you is just to be happy.

The heart stage

The second phase is the blind or heart phase. This is when you are deeply in love and everything your partner does is right. This is where the term ‘love is blind’ comes from. You are blinded by love and cannot see any of your lover’s flaws. Not seeing the bad traits in your partner no matter how obvious it is. Always doing everything within your power to make your partner happy without thinking about the consequences. It is when you take decision base on your emotion, not logic. At this stage, you are trying to make the relationship perfect.

Logic Stage

The third phase is the logic phase. This is the stage whereby those things you think that doesn’t matter in the previous stages now becomes an issue of concern to you. The ideas that you have made up in your mind about how your partner should behave, what your relationship should be like, and what you deserve have completely overtaken all the positive emotions you had before when your love was still blind. The flaws are no longer cute but have become an annoyance over time.

Having demystified the phases involved in love relationships lets now go back to our initial question:  “is love truly blind”? The answer is NO. The reason is that love is genuine. It is something you do with your mind and not blindly. It is a desire for someone to be part of your life! Love is not blind. The moment people recover from their blindness, they see the flaws of the lover which had been there from the onset.

Seven Things to Consider when Choosing a Life Partner

Seven Things to Consider when Choosing a Life Partner

The choice of a life partner is the most critical choice of your life. Oftentimes, we conjure pictures in our mind on our would-be life partners would be or look like. Some would go-ahead to make a list of mandatory specifics such as he/she must be handsome, beautiful, tall, short, slim, chubby, fat, must be rich, educated, and presentable e.t.c. It is good to have these kinds of ideas but you need to stop and ask yourself what is truly important to consider before saying I do? There are so many things to consider and be aware of before you embark on the journey of marriage. Some of the basic factors to consider are:

This plays a major role in marriage. If you practice a particular faith, how important is it that your partner share the same faith and practice it with you? How does faith affect your lifestyle? What faith do you want to raise your children in? In choosing a spouse, you are mindful of going for someone of different beliefs from yours. Being nice and morally upright isn’t the criteria to justify this point but being of the same faith with your future spouse will save you from so many dramas and trouble in your home.

One of the main reasons for marriage is companionship and friendship. Don’t marry a stranger and hope you will become compatible overnight. Don’t try to make your spouse your friend but out of your friends choose a partner. When you meet someone on the level of friendship before you get married, it is difficult to fake the relationship. After the romance and sex are gone, it is the friendship that will keep the relationship going.

It is the foundation of a happy, healthy, and long-lasting marriage. It is about truly understanding each other. Once there is a dichotomy in your speaking and understanding level, you can’t enjoy that marriage. Can you truly talk to her and can she truly talk to you? Don’t marry someone who is rigid and not open to new ideas, new ways of doing things, or innovations. Communication is so important because several occasions will arise in a marriage where you and your partner would need to sit, discuss, and figure things out.

What is his / her behavior like? Is there self-control? Is he/she consistently angry or violent? Is he or she abusive: physically, verbally, or emotionally? Does he/ she snap at you, belittle you or always put you down?  It is good to marry someone you love, but looks aren’t enough. Life is full of beautiful women and handsome/ rich men but not all that glitters is gold.

Marry someone you have sexual feelings for. Sex plays a vital role in the success of any marriage. If you don’t have emotional feelings for your future spouse, it is a recipe for misunderstanding and broken relationships. You both should understand this fundamental aspect of marriage and adapt as soon as possible. Sex and romance are a non-negotiable part of marriage! You will flirt with each other and you will make babies. So, marry someone you can connect with sexually.  it will create more intimacy between you and your partner.

This is the ability of both of you to get along. Having certain strengths/ things that complement each other. Make sure you check basic issues such as:

(a) Values: Do both of you share the same perspective about life?

(b) The purpose of life: Where you are going to determine who will go with you. You must, first of all, discover your purpose for life before choosing a partner for life. Make sure you marry someone that can accommodate your vision and appreciate what you are called to do in life.

Hence, it is important to know how compatible you are with your partner. There must be a certain level of compatibility. If the gulf between you both is too wide, it may create challenges in the future

When choosing a spouse please be very careful of undue influences. Make sure you are choosing someone that has the real qualities that can sustain a home. Let your choices be based on true love and friendship. Marriage is a commitment the both of you must want to go along with willingly. If the man/ woman doesn’t appreciate you enough to marry you please let them go. Someone that will appreciate you will come.

Love Facts unveiled

Love ranks among the most often discussed subject both online and offline. A simple search on the word “Love” will bring up 14 billion search results. Funny enough, there is no single definition of this ancient subject. It means different things to different persons. There are some amazing facts I’ll be sharing on this beautiful subject

You got to Let go

A rather sad thing about life is when you meet someone who means the world to you, only to discover at the end that it wasn’t meant to be. Like a dream, you got to wake up and let go.

Love hurts

It hurts to have a deep affection for someone and not to be loved in return. What is even more painful is to love someone and never have the courage or boldness to let the person know how you feel inside.

Love is beyond the physical

True love still exists and can be found even in the most common places. Deep affection is when you take away the feelings, the romance, the sex, and the passion away from the relationship, and you still discover you care for that person.

Stop looking at the closed door

There is always the possibility of heartbreaks when it comes to being fond of someone. However, when the door of affection slam closes, another opens, but oftentimes, we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one which has been opened for us.

Don’t expect Love in return

It is always natural to expect people to love you back after giving them all you got. Unfortunately, it may not work out the way you planned. Just wait for it to grow in the heart. But if it doesn’t, be content it grew in yours.

Love sometimes comes from strange places

There are things you’ll wish to hear from the person you truly care about. Unfortunately, you may not hear these things. But don’t be too deaf as not to hear it from the one who says it from the heart! Love can be found in the most unlikely places. Amid unimaginable pains, we can always find happiness. Things may not always go the way we planned, but our kind spirits will surely experience beautiful moments.

Never say goodbye to the one you truly love

The institution of marriage is not a tea party. It comes with great commitments and sacrifices. Never say goodbye if you still want to try. Don’t give up if you feel you can still go on. Why say you don’t care about a person anymore if you can’t go a day without thinking about the person.

Love comes to the courageous

In life like in relationships, there are ups and downs. There are moments of extreme pain and also beautiful moments filled with all we ever desired in life. Love comes to those who still hope, although they’ve been disappointed by past relationships. Those who still believe, though they’ve been betrayed by those who they once cherished. Some have been badly hurt, but like wounded soldiers, they still trudge on. Love always comes to those who have the courage and faith to build trust again!

Don’t ever go for Looks

“The hearts expressions can never be found in the face”. Looks can be so secretive, so never you go for looks. Lots of people go for wealth, unfortunately, wealth can grow wings and fly away. Choose to go for someone who makes you smile always, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seems bright.
